👉 Seal driveway cracks. Warm temperatures help filler bond better, sealing before fall rain stops water from seeping in and eroding the base of your driveway.

August Checklist:

✅ Garage door letting in critters? Check the bottom seal and side weatherstripping replace any cracked, brittle, or missing sections to block tiny invaders. Also, inspect gaps around the frame, vents, and pet doors. Seal holes with weatherproof caulk or steel wool to keep mice, bugs, and other unwelcome guests out. Bonus: Keeping your garage sealed helps reduce drafts and may also help lower energy bills.

✅ Drone or binocular roof check. No ladder needed! Scan for curled shingles, popped nails, or anything that screams “future leak.” Bonus: If you’re flying a drone, use the chance to check your gutters for clogs and debris too.

✅ Door locks sticking? A quick spray of graphite or silicone now keeps them smooth all year long.

✅ Test GFCI outlets. Press the “test” then “reset” buttons to make sure these safety lifesavers trip properly especially in kitchens, bathrooms, and garages.
